Join David, former UK Closed Professional Latin finalist and ISTD/ABD-qualified teacher, for a 2-hour Latin workshop. David will lead a 1-hour technique class, focusing on refining footwork, posture, and musicality, followed by 1-hour supervised practice to put your skills into action with guidance and feedback and finals.
Designed for dancers with some prior Latin experience, the workshop is tailored to the overall level of the class, whether you dance socially or competitively, the workshop will help you progress with confidence.
David
David started dancing ballroom and Latin whilst at university. He later went on to specialise in Latin American, being a former finalist in the UK Closed Professional Latin Championship.
Fully qualified with the ISTD and ABD, David’s love of teaching, took him full circle to coaching the Cambridge University Dancesport team. Under David’s leadership, the team has won every Varsity match against Oxford since 2012.
A founder member of the XS Latin Formation team, David has coached the team to a record breaking 11 British National Championship titles and, in 2021, to become the first English team in over 20 years to make the final of the European Latin Formation Championship.
His passion for passing on his knowledge of dance to others has seen him win the ISTD’s prestigious Phyllis Haylor Scholarship and become a shortlist nominee for the Classique de Dance Ballroom and Latin Professional of the Year in 2022.
