A fun, high-energy cardio class with options for every level. Jump rope (skipping) is an all round work out that builds stamina, joint strength and muscle tone, with low joint impact. The session includes a warm-up, footwork patterns and teaches crossing skills, turns and handle catches, with clear progressions and modifications throughout. Ropes are provided, with guidance available if you’d like advice on purchasing your own. Open to all abilities. 10 minutes of skipping equals 30 minutes of running.

Helen


Helen trained at The Collaborative Arts Project (CAP21) in New York City, specialising in audition technique, mix-belt technique, repertoire, and Musical Theatre as a Business.

Her professional credits include West Side Story, Les Misérables in Concert, Cats (Jemima), Urinetown, Aladdin, Peter Pan (Tinkerbell), and Legally Blonde The Musical, where she played Brooke Wyndham and served as Dance Captain on the national tour. She also performed all female roles in Starlight Express, including the lead role of Pearl.

Helen appears in the feature film Chalet Girl and has worked with the BBC, ITV, and Nickelodeon. She is a featured vocalist with Pipe Dream Theatre.

After returning to Starlight Express before having her daughter in 2022, Helen transitioned into directing and choreography. Recent directing credits include 9 to 5: The Musical and Legally Blonde The Musical at the Cambridge Arts Theatre.

  • This class is open to dancers aged 12 and over. Whether you’re a teen or an adult, you’re welcome to join and enjoy the fun!

  • We recommend booking in advance to guarantee your place, as spots may be limited. Walk-ins are accepted when space is available.

  • Come in comfortable, stretchy clothes that let you move freely.

  • We’ve got you covered with herbal teas and other refreshments, but you’re welcome to bring your own water bottle if you’d like.
